AITA for not taking my mom up on her offer?

My mom asked me if I wanted a chair for my room and I politely declined since it didn’t really match the vibe I was going for. Instead of going “Oh, that’s okay.” She started making some really scathing remarks like “So a cat tree is the vibe? A blanket with pillows under it that you’re using as a bean bag chair is the vibe?” And based off her tone of voice, she was trying to be rude. I wasn’t even disrespectful about it as far as I know, she asked and I said, and I quote, “I’m trying to establish a certain aesthetic in my room and it’s not really the vibe, thank you for offering though.” And I just- AITA?!

NTA like at all! People take things differently and maybe what you thought was polite came off as slightly rude to her? However, her response was not at all justified as it seems you handled the situation very well. Try to talk to her - maybe she was offended over something else? If not its your room and she has little right to be rude to you about it.
It does sound a bit like your refusing was on the snidey side.

I guess that could be true...
