Unit 12 social factors access to midwifery

Hey has anyone completed unit 12
I just wondering if anyone could help me out. Been struggling with this unit.
I’ve got all my note but I’m just unsure how to start

You are required to write an academic report which investigates the key social issues that influence health and social care. Your report should focus on the delivery of pro-active care to vulnerable adults with particular reference to the care of dementia patients. You will therefore need to research this area of health and social care in detail.

You must ensure that you include the following in your report, all of which need to be in context of the delivery of pro-active care to vulnerable adults with particular reference to the care of dementia patients:
• Describe and discuss of the role of social motivational factors in health and ill health.
• Discuss the role of social support networks.
• Explain how a lack of support networks impacts on health.

Hey,honeslty im not. im not understanding it. my tutor gave me some advice but it wasnt helpful as i know the layout of a report. i just dont know how to start off and linking it all to dementia patients

hi! I have just finished reading the study material and for the first time i am totally bamboozled! i have no idea where where to begin?. Im not sure I even understand it, let alone apply it to dementia patients ... need to do more research defo! Also i see there is a timed assignment, when do we recive more info on that? whats the time scale do you think? Best of luck!

Totally agree. Wish we could have some sort of weekly lessons. So disorganised and what even is the point in the study materials... they’re rubbish!!

i feel some people learn by reading and some learn via videos and practice. the studdy materials can be very confusing sometimes

Honestly, this is my most difficult unit, from what I’m getting from the study material in 2.1 you are needed to describe the role of social motivational factors in health and ill health yet the material they cover is the social model of health and bio medical model of health? I’m a bit confused where the social motivational factors are in the study material?
