Nhs wales stp 2021

Hi all,
I have a few questions about the STP if anyone can help...

So to start, who decides where you go for placement? Can they send you anywhere in Wales for placement or do you only do your placements within your specific health board/hospital?

If you’re employed within a specific health board, does that mean you will have to work cross site in the main hospitals of that health board?

Is it compulsory to attend open days? If so, how do we find out these dates?

Is the theory aspect of it based in England? How long, typically, would the theory weeks be? How many times in a year are you in the Uni?

Is the interview process in Wales different to the one in England?

Lastly, how do you balance working full time, life, and completing a portfolio/ essays/ research projects / dissertations?

Thank you!!!

I also need to know the answers. I'm applying this year, but I'm a single mum so would prefer to stay local if possible! There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info about the Welsh STPs.

I've still not been able to find anything online? Anyone else still in the same boat?

I can only see the 2020 ones, can you send a link?
I think the posts are getting uploaded one by one! If you go to trac jobs and search trainee clinical scientist they should come up! More posts keep appearing so they must literally just be getting made public now

Hope this works for you!
Which specialism are you all applying for? I'm going for micro
There doesn't seem to many posts listed? There was 30 in Wales last year which was a lot more, unless some are still yet to be posted?

Do the applications need to be written in Welsh? Seems to be some conflicting information on the website

I don't think so, it says:" Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English." So I guess you can do either. Does it say something else on the website?
