how much will you earn in the 2 month period?
Will this be your only income between April 2020 and April 2021?

So you’re saying I have to pay tax as a student who’s broke , and only working for two months not the whole year? Surely my yearly salary will be very little

Yes, any tax overpayment will be rebated at the end of the financial year.

As another has said, if your income is more than the £12,500 stated, or whatever the tax-free threshold is, then you pay a tax on it.
