2021 IBM London Technology Consulting Graduate Scheme

Hi everyone,

I applied for the tech consulting graduate scheme at IBM and have made it as far as the manager interview which I have been told I passed.
It has since been a month from I was told this and was wondering if anyone who applied for tech consulting or other consulting roles has heard back about a role specific interview yet?

Thanks.

Hey I have applied for a consulting role. I was wondering what the application process was like I'm waiting to do a game based test, I have passed one before. But do you know what comes after that?

Hey, I was contacted about 3 weeks ago after my manager interview to say they matched me to a specific department. I had my final business interview and since then I received my offer. I think the stage you're at does take a while to get business-specific interviews. However, there's no harm in contacting the recruitment team

Hey, so I had to answer some further questions about IBM then got the call for the AC and subsequently the manager interview.

Hey, did you get it?

They just emailed me today saying that they ran out of places! Feeling quite deflated!

Oh whoops, sorry didn't see your second post! Congrats!
sorry I know this thread is about the London programme but I applied for the graduate tech consulting role in Leicester and got a call from the recruiter about two weeks ago. She mentioned the starting salary was 24k which I think is terribly low considering how much IBM as a company is worth, I straight away said I was expecting minimum 28k (even though there website states UK grad programmes start at 32k). was I wrong to turn this down ?

I wouldn't think you were wrong to turn it down, 24k is a bit ridiculous especially with it directly contradicting what is stated on the website.

Yh I thought the same as online it states starting from 32k, were they not willing to negotiate at all ? What did they mention when you said about £28k?

Thank you for answering, that’s great! Is it the same for graduate technology specialist, would you know? I was wondering if IBM is open to salary negotiation ?

did you also receive a similar salary offer ? tbh the recruiter sounded quite shocked/surprised that I was seeking something higher. Specifically her response was something along the lines of "ohhhh right, okay I will pass this information on to the hiring manager and see if they are willing to negotiate, we will be in contact with you soon about next steps etc" the next thing I received was an automated email saying my application was no longer under consideration. Which I have a slight feeling is because of me turning down the salary offer.
