Anyone here used invisalign ?

I'm thinking about going for invisalign for whitening and bonding and trying to work out roughly how much it will cost, i heard it was £3,000 but thats with straightening which i don't need.
Hi, Invisalign is for straightening teeth, occasionally people will decide to whiten their teeth while doing the treatment, whitening alone is between the region of £200-300, depends on your dentist
Hope that’s helpful

Thanks for the reply, my dentist has recommended and booked me in with another person at the practice who specialises in bonding and Invisalign and told me my teeth are straight and said something like ABB, align > bleach > bonding or something like that but says i can just have bleaching and bonding so is this possible without the straightening? if not i'm guessing he just means doing whitening and bonding without Invisalign.

My dentist prices for whitening is £299 using a home whitening system and bonding is i believe £200 per tooth but was told Invisalign is cheaper but from what i have seen so far looks very expensive lol.

No worries. Invisalign is quite expensive and it’s usually what people look for if they didn’t get braces as a teenager. The dentist I work with charges between £2000-£4000 depending on the severity of misaligned teeth. So if you have straight teeth, I don’t know why that was suggested really.
Home whitening is much more effective than ultraviolet whitening from what I have seen, so good luck.
What do you mean by bonding are you having fillings, veneers/crowns put on your teeth?

After reading up about Invisalign i was thinking the same thing lol, originally i just wanted to pay £300 for whitening and £200 for dental bonding but he's for some reason changed it to Invisalign and yeah he said my teeth are perfectly straight so i'm not sure why i need Invisalign either, after i had a scale and polish the top of one of my teeth has like a chip in it and they've said it can be fixed with composite bonding which is £200 a tooth but told me they match the resin to my tooth colour so if i wanted to whiten my teeth i have to do it before the composite bonding so i thought hell why not but the price is slowly jumping up which is scary.

We have that happen a lot if you’re getting a filling on a front tooth, its probably better to whiten so the filling can be whiter too, the problem is composite can’t be whitened so its better to start of whiter, than replacing a filling as that is pointless harm to healthy tooth surfaces.
I don’t see why he’s suggesting Invisalign?

I say home whitening is better because ultraviolet whitening lasts 3-6 months depending on your diet and lifestyle however home whitening can be topped up whenever you feel the need, once you have your whitening trays you can buy whitening gels as and when needed, plus the results remain for 6-12 months.

I'm not sure why he's suggesting it either to be honest i'm just going to ask for the whitening and bonding rather than the Invisalign, how many shades whiter can you expect from home whitening though? 100% seems the better option if you can just top it up at home and it lasts longer but my dentist gave me mixed replies on the whitening he first told me my teeth are healthy and naturally like a dark colour that would be hard to whiten but then told me on next appointment the whitening would work well and get me 2-3 shades lighter, i did tell him i'm not expecting celeb shade white but just a little whiter would make me happy but just a little hesitant as £300 is a lot of money if you get little to no results.
If you have yellow teeth I would probably say not to get your hopes up with whitening and when i had it done I noticed literally the most minimal difference so was a waste of £350 for me but if you have a decent colour of teeth already then whitening works wonders, make sure you have healthy enamel as well because people go trying to get teeth whitened with exposed dentin or enamel so thin that the whitening won’t do anything so if that’s the case you’ll need composite bonding or veneers as dentin or teeth stripped of enamel will not whiten.
Does anyone know good invisalign clinics in London as I've heard not everyone whos had them in the past were happy with their results..
