This is unfair to run A level exams and IGCSE internationally !!!

All students around the world should be treated the same way. It's unfair for international students to have exams as if Covid does not exist outside UK. If U.K. and other countries won’t take A level exams then this should apply to all countries. Students are studying online but it's not the same level of education as going to regular school. Students have been learning online which was not good as they don’t understand well. We can’t spend the whole academic year online and then switch to real time exams. If some countries won’t take the exams, then all countries shouldn’t take their exams. Like oxford and edexcel have cancelled worldwide exams so cambridge international examinations has to do so too. To provide fairness. This is unfair for international students to take CIE. This has stressed many of us and we think worldwide that’s it’s unfair to not proceed with exams in some counties and proceed in others. Everyone we have to take an action or even send emails to the minister of education in england maybe he can help. if anyone knows somewhere we can contact cambridge board please say as they don’t reply to emails. We have to cancel exams because this is unfair.

What does "fairness" have to do with anything?
Its an exam, it has nothing to do with what UK schools are doing if youre sitting it internationally. It does raise questions as to why you believe special treatment is required though, given theres no real basis for it in the context of what youve said.

where can you do a level exams overseas?
There is a lot of validity in what they're saying. International exams are going ahead for certain exam boards, such as CIE, while others such as Edexcel International Examinations are not. While the UK situation is unfavourable which justifies 'exam cancellation', there have been several European schools, for example, that have gone through the same treatment of online learning but are not given predicted grades. With this being said, students are essentially competing for university places unfairly, with some getting in with teacher assessment, and some taking the actual exam. Having said this, if there are such discrepancies for education and its quality considering the current situation, what value do our exams have in showcasing our understanding of the subject? And, forgive us, for wanting exams to be cancelled considering our treatment and situation.

Ah, yes. What about international pupils who take different exams. You can't make everything even.

For schools overseas, IGCSEs and IALs can still go forward. CIE hasn't cancelled them.

Just sit your bloody exam, stop looking for excuses like a typical student

so...:dontknow:

A pupil taking a CIE IGCSE exam in, say, Thailand may still have to sit the exam, meanwhile someone taking that same exam in England will not sit it. The OP argues that this is unfair. The IGCSEs and IALs were not actually cancelled everywhere.
