The Student Room Group

Please help ASAP

*My mum making me go to college before I start. So my timetable I start at 10am or 1pm and whatever and I think the normal time is 9am but my mum makes me go in at 9 each day. She makes me and I have to just sit in the library in the corner on my own until my lessons starts and it's ****. There's no point me being there, there's no lessons or anything. It's kind of controlling. It's really frustrating me now. I want to move out but I'm a student I have insufficient funds. All the other students get there when the actual lessons starts and I have been there all day like it's embarrassing. Even the teachers was like have I not heard I start later how come I'm in so early.

Yes I could but at home. I could make money online, I could catch up on sleep, I could socialise

Find something else to occupy yourself with then. Or just keep sitting there feeling miserable, your choice.

Do you have a cafe and a library at your college? That should cover you for a few hours.

I assume that there is a reason why your Mum wants you to go in early, perhaps it works best for her in terms of her day.

I have a library but it's for students who are studying but my course is more practical so it all done in class.

It doesn't affect her, she can get on with her day with me at home. I honestly don't know why

Why don't you set yourself a challenge then and find topics in the library which will be an asset in some way? If you are studying construction, make a list of books on, say, architecture or famous buildings and read a book from the list each day. Turn what seems to be a disadvantage at the moment into an advantage.
