A-Level Maths Resit and how it works????

I wanted to know if I could resit my A-level maths exam (Edexcel) next year summer or this year's autumn. I don't want to go through the process of going to class and attending college as I'm also thinking of doing a foundation art diploma next academic year.

Thanks

You can. If you're entered for the exams this Summer then you should be able to re-sit, for free, at the same centre this Autumn - although details have yet to be announced.

Next Summer will probably be back to normal. Yes, you can re-sit. Your sixth from may have you back (likely to be the cheapest option) or you may need to find an alternative centre which accepts private candidates - any can,

Whenever you re-sit, your grade is based on all the most recent exams.

So let’s say I’m doing foundation art at a different city in the uk, can I still re sit my a levels maths exam without going to class or the current college? If yes, does that count as a private candidate? And what about the autumn resits, how would I apply through that?

A private candidate is anyone who is not enrolled at that exam centre as a student - so not attending classes there. Private candidates study by distance learning, have tutors or just teach themselves. Their only relationship with the exam centre is for the exam entries. Technically, if you entered for Maths at the college where you're taking Art you would not be a private candidate but they'd treat you as one because you have no relationship with them for Maths. You can enter with any exam centre, anywhere you like as long as they will accept you.

For Autumn re-sits your current sixth from has an obligation to have you back and not to charge you. You would still be a private candidate as you'd no longer be on roll there. Your school should give you information about this with your results in August. If they don't then ask them.

How do I find exam centres near me.

Campbell Harris College in Kensington, London is a short walk from High Street Kensington tube station and is a very popular exam centre for mature students too as well as 14 - 19.
