Question I came across was; “ assess the view that developing economies such as Brazil and China should pursue protectionist policies to achieve greater economic development “

You should use a tariff diagram. This would show that protectionism decreases the imports by that coutry, meaning that the domestic firms produce the products instead. have a look at the tariff diagram on tutor2U or economicshelp online.
