I don’t know if this is a joke or not, but you’re aren’t wrong because it’s the thought that counts… you can write a heartfelt card to someone and would mean a lot, especially if you take time to write your message.

Not a joke. Teacher may have a new class every year and if 30 kids give them a gift (most likely something they don't need) each year, they will very quickly run out of space...
