The Student Room Group

Someone explain to me why people cannot close your bedroom door when they leave.

I genuinely want to know.

If you come into a room and the door is originally closed, you close it again before you leave. It's not that hard.

My mum just did this and it's EXTREMELY irritating.
*shrug* It's her door surely?

It's my bedroom, therefore it's my door.

Yeah.. but you don't own it...

Prob just wants to make sure you're not playing with yourself or whatever , pretty common parent thing to disapprove of closed bedroom doors during the day.

Stick a sign on your door “Please Close the Door When You Leave!”

I'm not a child. And she just walked in and saw me working on the laptop
Why not just ask to them to close the door on their way out.

My fam will think that's a bit extra and will be suspicious

I do but I shouldn't always have to do that

It's not exactly a laborious thing to do, and will solve your problem.

Frankly this seems like quite a trivial thing to allow it to wind you up.

'working on the laptop' is that what it's called now?

I'm just messing with you obv, but there are plenty parents who think like that, telling/forcing kids to keep bedroom doors open is pretty common.

In that you need to explain to them as you find it irritating when they don’t close your room door!
It's annoying but you can just ask them to close it.

Is anyone gay and there 16? here

Yes, but I don't want to hook up with you. Go to Grindr or something, not TSR
