Do you know how to calculate resistance in series & parallel?

you have to use both here.
Step 1: resolve the resistance for the parallel component
Step 2: resolve the circuit in series

Like this? -im not sure which resistances to add together

No,

So first you have to solve the parallel loop

Which has 3 resistors, on one path: R and on the second path: 2R + 3R.

Once you've resolved the resistance for this section of the circuit you can add it back and consider it as one big resistor.

Do you mind showing me exactly what you mean?
