Gift ideas for boys

My birthday was last week and the boy that i’ve been seeing (not dating yet) bought me flowers and chocolates. It’s his birthday coming up next week and I’m really stuck on what to do for it. I don’t want to not get him anything but then I don’t want to get him something that’s too big as I think it’s too soon. Any ideas?

He plays football and tennis and loves the gym so I was thinking maybe something to do with that but didn’t know if I should get him something to keep as I don’t know if it’s too soon for that as we haven’t been seeing eachother for that long
