HELP! The Truman Show Essay - Power of the Media/ Reality vs Illusion

Would this be an okay start to a introduction (essay)
Illusion cannot exist independently of reality. Rather, illusion is a phenomenon involving one’s perception of reality, whether it is a ‘true’ representation of that reality or not. Throughout ‘The Truman Show’, Peter Weir presents the idea of false reality and illusion by implying how, in society it is rare to experience unaltered reality. By highlighting how media blurs the lines between fiction and reality, Weir is able to provide the audience with insight into the power of media manipulation.

also: would this fit better under Power of the Media or Reality vs Illusion
feedback and corrections would be appreciated!!!

I think it would fit better under Reality vs Illusion!! And also, I think it is a really excellent introduction to an essay!

You do know that Andy Niccol wrote The Truman Show and not Peter Weir, right?
