The Buddha himself would be totally detached from birthdays and wouldn’t expect us to celebrate his, so no.

Who would be imparting this good luck, the Buddha himself? That would imply he still had an ego and was attached to his physical body when he in fact totally dissolved his ego!

I am a proud Buddhist and I will celebrate Buddha's birthday ,. If you are some other faith then you won't get it
