Student Finance England or Scotland?

Hi there,

I've moved to Scotland from in England this May to start a MSc in September and would like to apply for student finance. Before relocating I've lived in England for 12 years and hold both EU and British passports. Since I've now relocated to Scotland should I apply for finance with SFE or SAAS?

Many thanks!

Hi Ciprian,

Our guidance states

The postgraduate loan is available to English domiciled students studying anywhere in the UK and EU students studying in England.

So if you are a UK National you can move to Scotland and still receive SFE funding.
If you are an EU National then you must be studying in England to receive SFE funding.

Thanks, Isaac
