I presume it is quite tough to enter, are you at undergraduate or master's level?

In all seriousness though I’m really enjoying my degree and I don’t know anyone here who regrets choosing the university. Contrary to popular belief, there are also plenty of students for whom Imperial was their first choice, and who may have picked it over Oxbridge or MIT and other top US universities.

Imperial is just as good but that's my opinion, it's ranked 10th in the world despite people from the US not knowing about the institution.

It's also my opinion that Imperial has its strengths, and Oxbridge have theirs. However, Oxbridge are comfortably world-class across the board and have a stronger reputation for that reason.

As a UCL admit, I'd probably say Imperial (and LSE) are slightly more prestigious and better than UCL for the respective courses. UCL just has a better vibe and social life however

According to the metrics and rankings, in Imperial's case, not really, especially internationally. If so, only barely. And LSE is not rated well by its students, so I'm guessing they do some great research to rank so highly. Also, been to the university and, at least in terms of resources, it didn't look anywhere near Imperial or UCL.

Rankings are bs lol don't pay any attention to them, something that can vary so much in a short amount of time based on years' of academic growth is p silly imo. LSE isn't rated well by students because it's a p cold environment and doesn't feel like a university moreso an investment banking factory at times but as a result of this its very prestigious as its directly associated with prestigious careers in people's minds. It has less resources true.. but also a fraction of the students so.. - it doesn't do STEM so hardly needs expensive labs and equipment too. Imperial is also seen as being slightly better than UCL for STEM in the general public and by employers, especially for the maths as it makes up COWI which is the UK's top maths schools to employers. Differences might be marginal but LSE & imperial tend to be more prestigious than UCL ever so slightly, especially in some circles (like banking and academia). Speaking as someone who got into all 3 and still chose UCL, more so for the social life and course.

Fair enough, then, I don't have a zeal for finance-related courses, so it's difficult to comment on LSE. I know, if I did, I probably still wouldn't apply to LSE, over them, but that's my opinion.
