For the written assessment have a copy of the PCF with you or open on another window of your PC to refer to. For the role play, I would say just be yourself and be empathetic. For the group discussion, try to consider any past experiences and use them to help with your answers. Sorry I can’t give specifics, but we’re told not to. Good luck!

Did you receive any feedback on the day, or do you have to wait to find out how you got on?

No feedback on the day and they really don’t give anything away.

Just a case of wait and see.

It’s the ‘Professional Capabilities Framework” and we have to familiarise ourself with the ‘Point of Entry’ section: https://www.basw.co.uk/system/files/.../pcf-entry.pdf
If the link doesn’t work just type in pcf social work and you’ll find it

I can’t say too much as we’re not allowed, just remember to have the PCF with you for reference and be yourself! Good luck x

Question to anyone on here who has either received an offer or rejection for the 2022 course - How long after your final assessment day did it take for you to hear about your outcome from step up?
