MSc Psychology conversion course career options

Hi everyone,
I am thinking to apply for the MSc Psychology conversion course at the University of Derby this September but I was wondering what the career options would be after that. I don't have any previous study or experience in psychology. Does anyone know if someone could find a job only with this MSc conversion degree?
It would really be a great help if someone knows anything regarding this,

To progress in a career in psychology, you would need further study/ training after this MSc. Gaining a role as a trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (as mentioned above) is one option, though these roles are not particularly common. If you want to go on to become a psychologist, you would need training to at least doctorate level, and to do that you would need a good deal of relevant experience. You could begin applying for Assistant Psychologist or Research Assistant roles after this MSc, though these are competitive. You could also go on to further training in specific branches of psychology, such as Health Psychology or Forensic Psychology. Take a look at the BPS website for the different routes into roles within the field of psychology and see what interests you.

I’m doing the MSc psychology conversion course at MMU.

The route I’m taking is in a job as a psychology well-being practitioner (PWP). As a PWP you are on the program Improving Access to Psychological Therapies, you attend university once or twice a week to learn coping techniques to deal with low mood, anxiety.

Then hopefully onto a doctorate in counselling psychology.

Hello! I am just finishing off my MSc in Psychology - it is a brilliant course to do in terms of developing your critical thinking. If you want to become a professional psychologist you need to do doctorate level study. For me, the reason I did the course was that I work in student support and having an MSc gains you access to more funding to support learners with mental health issues.

Have you thought about doing the course 100% online like I did at Arden? The course if fully accredited by the BPS, the Uni had a good review from the QAA and you can still take out a student loan https://arden.ac.uk/our-courses/postgraduate/masters/msc-psychology-bps
