student finance loan?

Is it possible to get a loan for this CertHE in Mathematical Studies at Birkbeck? I already have an undergrad degree.

As you already hold a qualification that is of a higher level than the CertHE, the short answer is no. Student Finance does offer finance for part-time second degrees in STEM - your course may not qualify for this however, as it doesn't result in a BSc.

Thank you for your reply.

Do you think I am eligible to apply for a maintenance loan from SFE for the one year 120 credit Mathematical Studies Certificate in Higher Education course? Would this be classed as full time study or part time study as it is 120 credits? On the Birkbeck website it is listed as a one year part time course.

I don't think the part-time aspect is the problem, it's the fact that the course isn't a degree level course (i.e. 360 credits).
