Height context
So when people say they prefer short or tall people. Does that mean people shorter than them vs taller than them? Or does it have to do with the height average?

When people say short, they tend to mean around 5 foot. When they say tall, they often mean 6 foot +.

It usually means in general. If I wanted a girl to be shorter than me, I would say that as opposed to just saying "short"
