Hi everyone, good to be here. Best of luck for this year:

I'm Ella.
Hobbies - Art, Baking, Reading, Walks.

My GCSE Subjects are:

Compulsory:

I've been predicted mostly 7-9's, so I just need to revise and try and keep up with my work lol.

I want to study French, English Language and Sociology (or some other Ethic-focused subject) for A-Level so I can go on to do Law with French Law at Uni.

I wish you all the best of luck this year, and I hope we all do great in our future studies! :h:

My school don't offer it and I'm not looking to self study either of them - not looking to go into something to do with classics but its fine, it can remain a separate interest

On behalf of my son who refuses to join TSR!

His hobbies and interests are computer / PS4 games. He plays on Minecraft Bedwars all the time, and he's obsessed with The Last of Us, I know that much!

This year he's taking :
Edexcel IGCSE Biology
CIE IGCSE Computer Science

Next year he's taking :
OCR GCSE Classical Civilisation
Edexcel IGCSE English Language B
Edexcel IGCSE Maths Higher

We're a home educating family so we split I/GCSEs over more than one year.

I'd say he'll probably find Class Civ most interesting, but he has only briefly touched on it before, not studied it formally.
Maths is his least favourite subject.

He has memory problems from having had pneumococcal meningitis and encephalitis when he was 9 (he nearly died, we're extremely blessed he's still with us), so he's only doing 5 subjects in total, just enough to get him into college.
Predicted grades... hmm... as long as he passes we'll be happy. I'd say 4s and 5s, but if he gets any 6 or above I'd be over the moon.

He revises best with someone going over things with him one on one.

Ultimately he wants to be a police officer.

I don't know his views on leaving Year 9, but as he's just at home anyway I don't think it makes much of a difference. Maybe a bit more pressure as he's actually doing some exams this year.

Yay! Class Civ gang! It's definitely very interesting!

My daughter (just starting Year 11) did Class Civ this year and got a 9.

I might be a bit biased but I love Class Civ myself. I did it for A Level, and I started it at uni (before I dropped out to have kids). I'm starting back up again in October, doing BA Classical Studies with the Open University.

It's a great subject!

I think it's a crying shame that more people don't have the opportunity to study it for GCSE or A Level.
