Student accommodation outside uni city?

I was wondering if it's possible to get student accommodation outside your uni city? The accommodation in my uni city is very expensive, and it might be more worth it to stay in a cheaper city and get the train, if that's allowed
You could live in the next county if you thought the commute was practical. It’s entirely up to you.
