What are the safest cities in the UK?

"Safe" can mean a lot of things. Some places have crime that is completely irrelevant to most students. There might be a gangland shooting down the road which might as well be on the moon for all the effect it will have on you - on the other hand there are places with little in the way of vagrancy or gangs, but lots of street robbery. Overwhelmingly, the most dangerous thing to students is getting hit by a vehicle when you're crossing the road. So it depends what you mean.
