i came to an idea today ,im in period when im thinking a lot about peoples stares when they see me because im ugly , and thought ,if they can stare at me (which is rude)then why wouldnt i record them?with my phone becuase i dont have special camera for that.Now, im not sure how to do that without them noticing it ?i walk down the street ,and people who are going towards me ,who have to pass by me or not directly by me but maybe 3 meters far from me but still they are relatively close.Im doing this because i want to see how they react to my face ,i dont have courage to look at them while they are staring but im curious ,like what is so interesting in my ugly face so they stare

In public you can record who you want. It's weird and people might get in your face about it, but they do not need to give consent.

i know its legal but i asked if its possible to record them without them knowing it like to hid phone somehow idk

Yes it is possible, but with gear more specialised than your phone. I don't know how easy or difficult it'd be with a phone

Peripheral vision also I know im ugly af so thats the only reason but still i want to see their reaction without me looking at them because they will turn away then ,pretend they didnt see me as they always do

No, it's not a good idea.
I don't see that you gain anything from it and I don't see that anyone (I assume you wouldn't like it all that much either) would want to be filmed without their consent - legal though it may be.

Two wrongs don't make a right and I'm of the opinion that you thinking people looking at you is probably more due to you being a bit paranoid than them actually looking at you.

Anyway, you still haven't said what the benefit of doing it would be.

There is no benefit im intrigued i want to see their face reaction thats all ,although i probably know their reaction i did looked sometimes at them and saw but 98 percent of time i dont look at them back because i assume their reaction .Still ,who knows? Maybe someone has diffirent reaction than others and i cant know without recording that im still not sure if ill do it

tbh i had the same paranoia when i was younger, only thing that made it go away was that i stopped caring.

Recording strangers in the street for no obvious or good reason is not going to end well for you.. people, rightly, tend to object to strangers videoing them for nothing so you can expect some pushback on that in the form of a confrontation or a broken phone..
