why are people only homophobic to men
i've seen so many people (mainly men) that are openly homophobic and say that being with the same sex is wrong and bully gay people etc.
but when it comes to lesbian couples they seem to have no problem and find it "hot"? like it does not make sense to me

I suppose because a lot of people think girls are just experimenting, or need to meet the right guy ( completely false ) and have the wrong idea that those couples are straight but confused.
I feel like people believe that gay men go against the idea of "stereotypical masculinity" more, which makes it more unacceptable to them.
However, female gay couples get a lot of homophobia, I definitely wouldn't say it's easy for them

Yeah because some people's pervert tendencies can make them "less homophobic"
it's because everything is male centric for them, it's not about gayness per se it's about the fear of being emasculated. Wlw has no bearing on that to them since they can reduce it to visual objectification.

i did not say "only men". i also did not say men are more homophobic than women, i said that a lot men that are homophobic still find wlw hot.
But honestly I won't say they're any less homophobic though, they'd love to "convert" those girls by offering to kiss or have sex with them and yeah I guess men who are really insecure about themselves will be extra homophobic towards guys

Women are seen as sex objects so lesbian relationships are hot to straight men. Whereas gay men are seen as predatory.

Tbh I would say some girls are "more homophobic" towards girls than guys. I have female friends who wish for "gay bestfriends" but when I came out to them as lesbian they were blatantly rude to me

Nah never happened to me but that's because I don't come out to people but it happened to people I know, and stories about conversions are always scary
