Yes want to work in HK. And obviously HKU Med is way more better than Newcastle (QS 45 VS QS 79)

Did you apply for year 2 entry?

Yes. But I think I have to restart from Y1, which I don’t mind.

Sorry to be blunt but 4 subject is the minimum
for degree & master holders, will the faculty emphasize more on the master qualification or equally important?

Hello, current HKU Y2 MBBS student here. 4A* is the minimum entry requirement (i.e. you must take 4 subjects) unless you have some special reasons/extenuating circumstances, or if you have other internationally-recognised high-school standardised public exams e.g. APs, SATs, DSEs to supplement it (and HKUMed recognises them as part of your academic qualifications).

This is a difficult question, as most postgrads tend to be applying with only a bachelors' (or equivalent) and thus I'm not too sure how faculty will view the masters'. A good GPA (1st-honours or equivalent) in your bachelors' will definitely be important, and if you don't meet that level they might consider how well you did in your masters'.

For Medicine, DO NOT ONLY LOOK AT RANKINGS. Make sure you do actually, genuinely, really want to study here instead of at Newcastle, and you don't see yourself regretting the choice when it's time to start your career.

Is it possible for us to receive a 3A*1A CO?
