medicine

I am in year 10 and I want to go down the medicine route, where do I begin? how many UCAT points do I need and do I need to do maths level? How long does It take to become a surgeon?
thanks
UCAT points really depends on the university (however your placement options afterwards will not be affected by this). Maths A-Level would also be well regarded (are you getting good GCSE grades in it/in general currently?). can't answer the surgeon question but hopefully this answers your other ones!

You need AAA to A*A*A at A level, depending on the med school. They do not use UCAS points (or do you mean UCAT? This varies from around 2450 to 3040, depending on med school and other stats). You do not need maths A level, although would need this or physics if applying for Cambridge, nowhere else cares what your 3rd A level is.
