Should I call?

My best friend has been acting a little strange lately. He’s been texting way less and it’s gone from over 50 texts to barely 5. I know something troubling him, but every time I ask how he is, he says ‘good’. Whenever I’m feeling down, he calls to check on me, but other than that, we rarely call. This has been going on for more than a week, should I call to check up on him? I’m really worried, but I also know that he prefers not to talk when he’s dealing with stuff
Always trust your gut instinct and listen to what your common sense is telling you about your best friend.
You can always try to arrange to study together or meetup with him to socialise.
Be on the lookout for signs of family or financial problems, the pandemic has led to so many households experiencing intense stress.
Good luck!
Yeah, you should call.

My gut tells me to call right now… I probable will, later today. When I know he’ll be free

Yeah, you should call.

I will, thanks
Just wanted to say, OP, you're a great friend!

I'm glad you're thinking of calling to check in on him. Since you're his best friend, here's hoping that he'll be comfortable enough to open up to you - there may be many reasons why he prefers to deal with issues alone, but one of them could be that he doesn't want to trouble you...or it could be a deeply personal issue which he wants to keep to himself.

Either way, reiterate that you're there to support him, just like how he has supported you

Thank you!☺️
I hope he’s willing to talk to me…
I’m always here for him, I tell him that as often as I can. He doesn’t like calls, but I’ve told him that if he ever wants to talk, I’m just a text/call away, and he shouldn’t ever worry about interrupting or disturbing my day.
I’m so worried that I won’t be able to help though…
