Hi!

I studied criminology with criminal justice as my undergraduate.

I would choose a profession like the police, CPS, lawyers etc
Then discuss why they need good communication skills to be able to relate to criminological understanding. e.g understanding why a criminal might have committed a crime because of the influence of society, such evidence could be used in court. (that's very brief but I hope you understand).
Criminological phenomena are the theories and causes of crime that you have learned so far.

I hope this helps!
Best wishes

Hi!

I found the Tim Newburn - Criminology book really useful. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=criminology%27+by+tim+newburn&i=stripbooks&adgrpid=587642909&hvadid=80745416845595&hvadid=80745416845595&hvbmt=be&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=69090&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvqmt=e&hvtargid=kwd-16685676181%3Aloc-188&tag=mh0a9-21&tag=mh0a9-21&ref=pd_sl_3wqe9r4d1z_e

Also the Key readings in criminology https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=key+reading+in+criminology&adgrpid=1185274433796268&hvadid=74079853260674&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=69090&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvtargid=kwd-74079792685669%3Aloc-188&hydadcr=10808_1824851&tag=mh0a9-21&ref=pd_sl_9gq16k2c3e_e

Both of these two books are really good for you to start your reading and give you a good understanding. Your university should offer them in your library.

I hope this helps!
Best wishes
