theres not even that much to revise for this its heavily based on calculations icl

i revised the steps for the emitting infrared practical but I haven't seen any suitable descriptions for the absorption one so that can't be a 6 marker can it?
Infrared Required Practicals:
1. Fill the Leslie's cube with hot water
2. Point the infrared detector at each of the four surfaces and record the amount of infrared emitted
3. It's very important that we keep the same distance between the Leslie's cube and the infrared detector as it makes the measurements repeatable
4. Matt black surface emits the most infrared radiation, followed by the shiny black, then white, then shiny metallic emitting the least amount of infrared radiation
5. If we do not have an infrared detector, then we can use a thermometer with the bulb painted black, however the resolution of the thermometer is less than the infrared detector. The resolution is the smallest change that can be detected

Absorbent of infrared:
1. We have an infrared heater and on either side we have two metal plates, one plate has been painted with shiny metallic paint and other plate with matt black paint.
2. On the other side of the plates, we have used vaseline to attach a drawing pin
3. We now switch on the heater and start timing
4. The temperature of the metal plates increases as they absorb infrared
5. We record the time it takes for the vaseline to melt and the drawing pins to fall off
6. What we find is that the drawing pin falls off the matt black plate first because matt black surfaces absorb more infrared than shiny metallic surfaces

its not pins in the textbook for some reason

its not pins in the textbook for some reason

They often change it in the exam or keep it the same, like the pondweed practical for biology paper 1, in the exam it was different colour lights, but it could've been temperature, light intensity/distance from light etc
How did people find the exam?

Ok hbu
It was good except question 6 about braking distance and stuff, which is on the not assessed list

The distance was 50m right? If they give full marks I'd understand but a little annoyed since I think I got that question
for the ones about calculating average speed etc did u have to round the numbers cos it said average

Did anyone get 1.2m for the 6 marker calculation?
I got 1.225 but I got 1.2 for another question
