so how do I go to university wearing what I like (JW, Zara, Allsaints, etc.) and not be associated with 'rahs'? or are you guys just exaggerating how bad they are?
I think we're just going to have to wear like giant jumpers over them. Although that might be a bit of a stretch for me because I got a gilet for Christmas.

Bloody hell. Surely they arent really like that. If that guy went to my school, he would be stabbed. I dont know how long i could put up with people like that. 'Chundered', 'lash' wtf
I agree! I go to a comprehensive school and if that dude went to my school he wouldn't last long at all. Surely people like that don't exist?! 5 seconds in and I already had the urge to kill him, the guy should be severely beaten and words like "Chundered" should be punched out of him.

What the hell is wrong with being posh?

People say I'm posh just because I speak properly. It's rediculous.

It's better than the other extreme - common.

Rediculous? are you spelling it how you would say it with your posh and proper voice? or are you just bad at spelling ?

You'd better believe it mate, they're like that. I went from a very rough inner-city comprehensive to Durham University. It was a complete shock!!!! When I first arrived in Durham, I honestly thought I'd landed on a different planet. Loads of students wearing Jack Wills from head-to-toe, in plummy /posh voices saying stuff like 'I chundered' and 'I'm going on the lash'!!! Most of these people live in a bubble and do not have a clue about what happens in the real world. However, RAH's are VERY, VERY cliquey and only socialise / speak to other RAH's, so they're fairly easy to avoid.

There are RAH's at most top unis such as Durham, Bristol, Exeter, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Leeds, Newcastle etc.

I use the words chunder and any of the current words for partying. Just not with the accent.

I make it my new years resolution to not start becoming a rah.

I havent the whole thread but I just want to add Edinburgh is full of 'rah's' as my privately educated middle-class cousin went there and said there are many kids from super rich family. They all went to boarding school and stuff but not all are stuck up she said.

LOL at the neg rep, must be felt emotional rah!

Lol I can't stand the Gilets. One day I tried to count how many I saw and I couldn't even keep count. People exaggerate how many or how rah Exeter is, it's not that bad. The place is awesome and so are the people
I was getting quite worried about Exeter until this comment And I have a gilet but it's fatface Hope it's not too rah, I'm not like that at all!

Good, you don't need to worry about Exeter, it's certainly made out to be a worse problem than it is. It's more of a joke between different halls and seems to have vanished already. I have friends from all backgrounds and they're all lovely - obviously there are people I don't want to be associated with, but I just don't

Last year, after Oxbridge, Durham and Bristol, Leeds was the most popular university desitination for pupils at Westminster School!!

That goes to show how RAH Leeds Uni is. I got mates that are at Leeds now and the amount of students that wear Jack Wills is just insane!!

That's not true. Imperial came 4th (says so on the website). And Westminster isn't known for rah's, that would be the country boarding schools...

Yes, I think after Oxbridge, Bristol, Durham and Imperial, Leeds is the msot popular university destintation, which makes Leeds pretty RAH and what do you mean Westminster isn't RAH, are you serious?

Did he have a wheezy chuckling dog in the passenger's seat and constantly fail at slowing down everyone else on the road, only worsening his situation?

Yes, Exeter is very RAH. Jack Wills must do a roaring trade here as I saw so many students wearing it when I visited my mate studying at the uni a few months ago.
