hey!! i'm from india but I was born and brought up in Dubai.I'm staying on campus too.Sadly I have to pick a catered hall cause my dad doesn't want me bulking on junk food So he's obviously going to play mind tricks on me so that I don't waste the money he spent on catered hall and I don't go out to eat often
Actually I've done the Indian curriculum and the exams got over on the 30th of March. Results are out in the last week of May
Seriously the predicted grades I gave were in the range of 80-86% and they're asking for 90%.I have experience in Robotics though.I was pretty shocked when they took me cause UCL accepts really good students and frankly I don't have the grades for it.Look at what they're asking ^^ My math and physics papers were horrible too..even the tutors/teachers found it bad and time consuming.I really hope they're nice and take me with my less exceptional grades
Warwick's asking for 85% which is much less.I always thought Warwick was better than UCL in Engineering like UCL is better known for the arts right? I picked UCL cause of the city and Bloomsbury Theatre.

I hope we all meet the conditions and meet eachother in September! What residence are you picking?
wow! thats a bit harsh of them... ah well im sure you will be able to meet the conditions! erm i hope to live in one of the en-suite/ self catered residences (i filled out the form yday and you cant really choose which student house residence you live at unless its an intercollegiate hall). I just hope i get what i want *fingers cross* my friends think im crazy that I am living on campus even though I live in London, but I get quite a bit of student finance so I guess its best i take advantage of it while I can ... hopefully on my engineer's salary in the future I wont have to worry about it! haha. i am really looking forward to it cause although I have lived in London all my life I wouldnt say I have been absolutely everywhere! have you applied for accommodation yet?

hey! yeah i've applied for Catered Hall and I've asked for shared room cause I don't want to burden my dad with more expenses along with the international fee.I'm going to add a sticky note asking for Ramsay.Isn't Ramsay notorious for being fun? It's been quite a while since I've had fun so I'm up for it ^^ But I don't want to stay in the halls for the second year.
I've googled London since my exams got over ( even doing coventry although it doesn't seem like fun) and I've read about the Mac discounts for students! I've always wanted to get a Macbook since I really like Apple products but I'm not sure if it'll support EEE applications..I hope it does :\
i didnt know you could attach sticky notes! i should have done that :'(.. ahh well hopefully ill get what I want. macbook discounts? where did you here that? i want one !!!!!!!!!

I've read alot of people are doing the sticky notes thing so I might do that too.I'm sending it tommorow.Have to add the sticky note ^^ but they might find it pathetic and put me into some distant, anti social hall.
lool now im scared... should i take the risk? i havent sent it off yet but I was gonna post it tomorrow...

I say take a chance...I've never heard of anyone doing something like that though..like make sure what you add in the sticky note matches the preference you've ticked in the application

Hope so Actually I am thinking about renting an apartment as I really want to have my own kitchen. I've been living in accommodation( and going to live till june) all this year and I really want to have my own space as people here really can't at least manage kitchen. I don't mind if there's a little mess, but I am sure It's impossible in accommodation to have decent clean kitchen. anyway there are a lot of reasons, so small, but with kitchen apartment is ideal for me. Even if I will need to go 10-20 min to uni every day

P.S. Also... have you really declined Imperial? Everybody who have UCl and Imperial, choose Imperial in the end!
Ahh yeah. I am probably going to want to rent after 1st year, and be close by ish dpending on prices haha. Are you at warwick this year then? I go there quite a lot to visit my friends, all the clubs etc lol :P
Kitchens get reaaaaal messy so yeah having one for yourself will be cleeeean and epic. I'm hoping in my accomm its not too messy :x maybe if it all gets too much i can get away from it all and jam with you at ur apartment lol!
yeaaah dude i really did decline imperial ha, i think i asked myself that same question straight after i actually declined it on ucas
but yeah its just not me, too much work load and not enough socialising, i would get depressed. and imo ucl isn't that much if at all any worse reputation wise depending what grade you get in your degree and what other things you do to make your cv look sexy. all gd in the hood from where dj is standing

Strange that there is no karate club, but still I'll try Shaolin and Wing Chun Kung Fu and maybe Taekwondo. Definitely going to join Anime club. Also want to find music club where I can learn how to play a guitar.... also want to try Mountaineering...

Thinking of joining Debate, Disabled Students' Network, Drama, Young Writers; while MUN also sounds good, I think I'll have my eyes bleeding after a few meetings, so I won't be able to join more
