What will you be doing with your laptop?
Personally, once I get a laptop, gentoo will be the only thing on it ^^

For the moment I have 2 partitions. I'm gonna leave the XP on as it is but will install debian on the second partition.

gentoo user here too! used it on my both desktops in my house for the last few years. I'm giving my desktop to my family now so I've spent a few days making it as obvious as possible what to do (and even wrote a helpfile) so that should be fine. I'm using a macbook at uni so I'm just sticking with OS X and Windows for games. OS X I find has some comforting similarities to linux, being based on the same thing and all.

I have a dream that one day open source will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold this freedom of free software to be self-evident: that all software is free and games shall run as they do on other platforms but with less frustrations."
