Good luck Rhi, there seems to be some good info from earlier posts about the assessment day. I'm not sure how many posts are available for Stafford but based on the first cohort, there were only 9 in total for west Midlands so probably only 2 to 3 spaces in Staffordshire. Tough competition I think, so all the best for Friday!

I have had a pretty varied background. I worked for an advocacy charity in Stafford for a while, I have managed several Dom care agencies and residential homes and am currently working in Shared Lives. How about you? I checked on Google maps and the place is only a very short walk from the station.

Quite different backgrounds! I started in YOI, delivering offending behaviour programmes, moved to probation as an offender manager for a few years, and now back with young people working as a YOT practitioner.

Glad it's not too far, have heels to contend with!

I rang PENNA again today and they said if we don't hear today then it should be tomorrow morning. I applied to Surrey but I think That is the same region as you.
    Hi
Have you heard back from Surrey yet? I have applied for Bromley and South East but have heard nothing apart from the email advising to keep the assessment dates free. It seems like we are never going to hear

It seems like everyone has bags of really relevant experience! I'm worried I haven't! Most of my background is in education, with some pastoral work and a little voluntary in between. I do lots of work with our pastoral team though working with children who are known to social services/ looked after children etc. Does nayone know how many people are invtied to interview compared to how many posts there will be?

Mdaisy my experience is in education too and I thought the same as you! However, you wouldn't have got to the assessment centre if they weren't interested, so in my opinion everyone is on a level playing field. That's what I am telling myself anyway! My assessment is on Monday in Birmingham. Good luck :-)

I'm sure your experience is just as valid as anyone else's and it will depend on your performance on the day so if you have got through to the next stage then its just a case of presenting your skills on the day. In terms of people being invited to assessment centres, I know in the first cohort there was a total of 2095 applicants, of these 598 were invited to assessment centre and of these 212 offers were made for the programme.

    Best of luck.

just wanted to say your skills must be relevant as like others have said, got through to the assessment centre, and im sure there will have been a huge amount if applicants that did not. You have just as much chance as everyone else please believe in yourself and good luck x

    Hey Guys,

Nice to see everyone sharing thoughts!!!!

I applied to the London Borough - Lewisham and others in the South East London as I know it will be oversubscribed. I was getting so anxious about getting accepted so I called on the wednesday and they said i will here something the following week. And to God be the glory I heard the next day about the assessment day

TO THOSE WHO HAS DONE THE ASSESSMENT CAN YOU SHED A LITTLE A LIGHT ON WHAT IT ENTAILS? DO WE NEED TO REVISE FOR ANYTHING OR KNOW ANYTHING?

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO THE ASSESSMENT AND DOES WHO ARE AWAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM!

    THANKSXOXOX
