People had wildly inventive classmates. My school seems boring by comparison. The weirdest rumour that went round my school was a girl I knew apparently had a picture of her stepdad's **** on her phone. But then she ran away in GCSEs because he was actually sexually abusing her, so that might have been true...

I've had plenty of odd rumours and some more normal ones that I kind of understood where they came from (eg that I was a witch and could speak to the dead coz of that one time I tried to read fortune on ppls palms ) coz our school was an isolated boarding school in the middle of nowhere ^^'

But this one in 6th form really confused me, coz apparently everyone but myself knew that I was getting expelled!  It fooled me enough to try and think of things tht I culd have been caught for and waiting for an impending call to the heads office xD On one hand I was a good student discipline and grades -wise, bt there were also plenty of things that I never let myself get caught with

When we were in grade 5 a couple of my class mates got caught with a porno magazine and blamed it on me even though i had not even seen the magazine and because of that the next few days were extremely miserable as everyone thought i was a rat

I had a hard time at college convincing people that I wasn't a spy. People genuinely avoided talking to me in too much detail because they didn't trust me. Oh, and at the end of the year, I won the 'Most likely to be a spy award'.

Not to worry though, I ordered for them all to be killed by some of my non existent undercover spy hitman friends.

I had a rumour started about me in year 9 that I felt up some girl who I barely knew in the corridor (I didn't, I just brushed past her as I went through the door). I was actually pretty crushed by it, particularly since I'd just started to get little crushes on girls in my year and that rumour dealt a big blow to my confidence.

Oh, and this wasn't bad but it was hilarious: Some girls in year 7 tried to spread a rumour that a guy called Cameron was madly in love with me. We had legitimately never met and I had no idea who he was. When I made this point to them, they gushed 'Oh, but he loves the sound of you'.

Mine requires a Phineas and Ferb-style backstory... :
I'm partly canadian and was raised by Canadians in the UK so I developed a lil' bit of an accent even though I'm british. So, upon leaving high school and having to leave all my friends behind to attend a different college in a completely different city, I came in not knowing anyone and vice versa.
When I started talking to people and they realised I sounded Canadian and that nobody had seen me before. That started off a rumour that I apparently went to a Canadian high school, and the next day I was barraged with a bunch of students asking me what it was like over there, even teachers asked me about the weather and education system, etc. To this day, I have no idea how this started, or even how it spread so fast.

That I headbutted a kid and was going to be expelled for it.

It was only years later that I found out the senior school management had actually believed it and were taking written statements off of people for evidence to expel. They never once came and asked me about it. I went to a crap school

I had a broken leg and according to the rumour, I managed to get up, go to the nearest phone boot, make a call to the police and tell them I was bullied by girls I had no idea existed.

That I joined year 12 late from another school... even though I'd been there from the very start of year 10, just like everyone else :|

When I was in 6th form a bunch of old friends thought I'd moved schools after year 11 and were always really suprised when they bumped into me on my way to class :hmmmm:

Apparently kids 2 yrs below me thought I designed the school logo... a teacher started that rumor o_O

There were also various rumors of me beating people up throughout school, for some reason I had a "don't f*** with me or I will hurt you" reputation, I remember once in year 11 some boys were getting lippy until one of their friends tapped them on the shoulder and told them to not mess with me because I'd slaughter them... not entirely sure how that came about lol

Well, this is nothing compared to some of the s**t some of you guys obviously face...

But in yr 8, someone made up a fake Fb account and friended only the people from my class. It had a super creepy profile pic, posted creepy messages and things and the name was fake, but it was very similar to mine. Lets just say the first three letters of my name and the account name were close. Everyone automatically assumes its me, and the fact that i didnt have an account at the time was further proof. Thank goodness two other girls fessed up or i'm sure i would be in for a serious boycott.

That I was pregnant or gay. Hmmm, they were right about one thing, 6 years later I'm still childless!

When people found out that I was a competition judo fighter and after I defended myself against someone in a physical fight in class, there were rumours that I'd beat up anyone who angered me. Lots of my classmates in school were wary and cautious around me after that.

Anyone who knows me will know that I hate fighting and will do anything to avoid it unless I'm practising judo in the dojo or in a judo tournament. It takes a lot to anger me and even then I won't resort to violence.
