    E for Envelope, remember!
I was told that when the railways started up, shops opened in the stations selling letter-writing paraphernalia so you could go there, write a letter and have it go on the train. Because these new sort of shops were in the stations, they were called stationers. The stuff they sold was called stationery. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but it works for me as a mnemonic.

Anyone who has worked in a call centre will know this *****:

    "May I take your name?"
    "It's Tiffany Doubly-barrely-mumblybumblytiswas."
    "Sorry, I missed that."
    "<sigh> It's Tiffany Doubly-barrely-mumblybumblytiswas."
"Can you spell that for me please?"
"What is wrong with you people? Why can nobody spell my name right?"
    Just brilliant. ^-^

I'm all in favour of mnemonics.

People who capitalise UNI. It's not an acronym.
This one is as baffling as it is annoying. What do people think it stands for?

The X factor and Britain's got talent
people sniffling when they have a cold, excessive coughing and throat-clearing
people who don't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'
when you can't have a decent conversation with someone, only small-talk
people who lie all the time
people who cancel plans at the last minute
    people who speak too quietly
people who talk to me when I have my earphones in
people who walk slowly in the corridors at school, holding loads of people up
oh, I forgot people who like their own photos on Facebook. It's a very strange thing to do. To quote someone on Twitter, liking your own photo is like having a w*nk and then licking your fingers afterwards

when you get angry and guys tell you to stop being emotional or say pms or looks like its that time of the month again

people talking when I am trying to think or daydreaming

    tracksuit bottoms on guys

    people biting their nails

this guy who whenever he sees me says my name really loud, although tbh just thinking about him annoys

people who think they can boss me around

people pretending their intimidating when they're not

people who lie - I can always tell if you're lying

... you get the general idea

The x factor annoys me for no reaon
Teens who pretend to like bands like joy division and wear the t shirts to make them look cool even though they only know one song
When people lie about their age (most irrational one)
I have occasionally been guilty of that one.
For example, i went to a car show when it was the bank holiday at the beginning of may this year, and i told them i was 14 so i could get in as a child and only pay the child's price...I had recently turned 24!!

    Oh :teehee:
    That might be an exception
I only find it annoying when people do it to potential friends/partners

Yeah, i know what you mean about the potential friends/partners thing.
With regards to my lying about my age to get in as a child, im surprised they let me in, but they didnt bat an eyelid.

When people borrow things but don't return them for ages.
When guys chat to the louder girl in a group rather than an equally attractive, but quieter one.
When a coffee machine needs filling.
When people feel the need to put you down just to feel better about themselves. (just why?)
People who latch onto you (metaphorically) and won't stop talking to you about random stuff when you're just trying to hang with your friends.
    People with bad hygiene.

I think part of it was because they didnt really look at me (i was with my grandad). As soon as id said i was a child, they didnt really bother looking, they where just like, "yeah whatever"

    Arrogance
When people give you suggestions on how to do things when you didn't ask.
When people go through your things without asking.
When the blinds are closed the wrong way.
When the toilet roll is placed on the holder the wrong way.
Lack of cleanliness be it a person or a building etc, it just really puts me off.

    People with bad hygiene.
People who criticize other people just to feel better about themselves.
    Tangled necklaces.
    Slow wifi.
When kids blow out candles in a restaurant for fun.
Running into certain people at inconvenient times.
People who either have no respect for personal space or are too sensitive when one move's along a tube carriage.
