Did you notice the changes from year to year?

Not a lot of changes though
Even on magdalenes website they say they roughly get 65:20 applicants to places

(Original post by Johann von Gauss)
Even I didn't do that :afraid:

    Over 5 years?! Wow.

Statistics over small colleges mean very little.
Yes because small sample size or? Still it did work haha

    2015 is 50% higher than 2013.

No acceptance data for 2015 yet.
    Anyway it's academic now. Literally.

But if anyone is considering playing the stats game when choosing a college... don't.

    Edit to correct.

I think one should not for getting an offer but an interview as I seen, Trinity would not even consider me likewise for fitzwilliam, downing, but Homerton Queens and Sidney were all very happy to say 'almost certain' interview. Not so much a stats game but I don't know tbh.

Yes but there is an apparent correlation, the more applicants the more places to keep the ratios fairly similar.

Still, you would most liekly always get an interview with 90+. Why did you do 6 AS! If you took away 1/2 you prob wouldve had a much higher ums.

4 were normal science and maths, one was mothers tongue taken at GCSE and the other was general studies so no really, idk why my UMS was crap. Maths would've been better if I hadn't done stats, I would've gotten 98%+ in that otherwise, pulling me to 93%

    But yeah anywayyyy

They see individual modules, not just a number. Hope you get in, just practice hard for the interview!
