Given the CT's sluggishness in getting government sub access sorted, are the Government parties looking at other temporary methods of communication/collaboration over legislation?

They are being far too slow sorting everything out.

It's literally a 30 second job, it would be quicker for them to do it when first asked rather than being chased over it

I quite agree - it is rather frustrating.

Just to update you, I have put in my third request now for the Conservatives to have access to the Government subforum in addition to Ray's messages to CT before his departure. Hopefully they will respond soon, but I apologise for the continued delay.

Given the slowness of the CT to grant subforum access, have the government parties taken steps to set up alternative means of contacting each other and generally discussing things as a government?

This has definitely been asked already, not sure if it was answered, yes.

I asked before and didn't get an answer. Fair enough.

Yes, we have a nice place to meet, albeit with just a limited subset of members. (It's a gentlemen's club in St James's where the Health Secretary needs to cross-dress and put on a fake moustache in order to get in.)

You should now have access to the Government subforum - let me know if there are any issues.

Indeed, I'm pleased to announce that we've finally been given access to the government forum and shall now finally begin to work properly.

There's been a minor adjustment. Constitutional Reform is now under the Ministry of Justice.

Why even have the role then?
Because the liberals like non positions?

    Why?
The lack of viable policy at the moment would put inadequate pressure on the former SoS since the demands they have to meet are considerably higher.
