Well I accept that Nationalism is irrational despite the fact that it's meaningful for a lot of people.

But you will never accept your beliefs as irrational, never accept your holy book as a man made book written in a certain social, political and economic context.

What exactly would you say I am the embodiment of?

I was like you 10 years ago. Even worse. Grew up in poverty, deeply religious and dogmatic. It's OK, I understand the disease you're afflicted with.
Well good for you but I'm still going to classify you as a nationalist though, although I'll tone down the level of delusion that I thought you were at.

I know I won't. Not accepting something you deem as irrational as irrational doesn't make my stance bad. It could just be that Islam isn't irrational and I am right and you are wrong.

Of the typical irreligious Pakistani, who after reading a few articles online, develops a superiority complex and thinks himself above practicing Muslims. A common symptom of these people is that they blame every problem known to mankind on 'mullahs'. The online Pakistani defence forum is full of people like you. Like I said, dime a dozen.

You don't really know much about me it seems. I recommend you stop thinking you know the mind behind the anonymous. In any case, now you were born in poverty, you're still dogmatic but your opinions are just at the other end of the spectrum. Oh bro you're inflicted with a far disease now. Muslims could have the flu but you're tainted with ebola.

Why were you anonymous in the first place
I wanted to be. No real reason.

    What about you?
    (Original post by Inzamam99)
Oh and yes in fact I do blame the religious elite for my country's failure.

It only started going downhill during the reign of Zia ul Haq. That man is the founding father of extremist groups both in Afghanistan and the ones who drive sectarian violence and hatred in modern day Pakistan.

Fortunately it's very slowly reversing- Raheel Sharif and the army in particular have given your friends a nice, long danda
Oh man I'm upgrading you back up a notch on the delusion level. You think Pakistan was some stunning Utopia before 1977 or whatever the year of Zias takeover?

Even if Zia never existed, Muslims would never accept groups like the ahmadiyya.

And once again, assuming more things incorrectly about me. I don't think you'd know who my friends were if they slapped you across the face with a chappal.

That thing about the bedsheets is the weirdest thing I've ever heard in my life.*

This is my advice to you. Hold yourself to the same standards that you expect from your future partner/husband/wife. If you are OK with the idea of them having slept with countless people before you then go for it. On the other hand if you want to get married to a wholesome person then be a wholesome person yourself.

I find a lot of girls, regardless of what they believe about sex before marriage lie about this Hymen thing. "Hey it was torn horse riding..these things happen..." ...Whenever I hear this from a girl my thoughts are yeah... Keep telling yourself that. *

I am advising her not to move an inch back because life could be a lot more difficult for her if she submits to her parent's wishes and falls into the trap of allowing them to or even thinking they are allowed to control her life like that.

It doesn't mean she should **** every man in existence or do anything sexual at all. It just means having control over her life and doing as she wants.

I disgust you but what I said above should make sense to you and you should understand the viewpoint*

Then you both might want to re-evaluate what you're 'preaching'.

Excuse me, why do I need to re-evaluate my choices and what I believe in? I have every right to make my own personal decisions about my sex life. Are you insinuating that my personal choice is wrong? Because that doesn't make any sense at all. Perhaps you'd like to expand on that very casual and brushing statement of yours. I hope the 2 people who've liked your thoughtless comment understand too that whatever personal choice I make that isn't socially injurious has no room for dissent.

Oh lol. The word definition has a very exact definition in the English Language. Believing in something without any kind of empirical evidence (flying horses, divine floods and talking angels being examples) is by definition irrational no matter how you try and twist it.

I haven't "read a few articles online" and I certainly was not part of the liberal elite when I was growing up in Pakistan. Most of my family are still subsistence farmers and the process of moving away from this dogmatic BS took years of research and soul searching. I have personally sat with Abdul Raheem Green and several other renowned Islamic scholars and attended dozens of lectures. Someone like you who is so brainwashed that he can't even accept Islam MAY not be the ultimate truth will always remain in denial about this- the fact that people who know a lot more about your Deen can move away from it.

I don't think myself above or as more intelligent than practising Muslims. I know why they are that way because I was the same. I have always defended Muslims- even now, I wrote an article last week about the growing Islamophobia in Europe and before that the hypocrisy of the French Burkini Ban and linked that with the country's colonial history.

You people are the one with the superiority complex. The ones who believe that only those with "Faith" in your particular fairytales can get into heaven. The ones who (for the vast majority) advocate death for apostates.

My views are common sensical- live and let live. Don't judge and don't shove your ****ing horse **** down other people's throats.

Funny how you exploit the benefits of a secular, free nation whilst raring against it.

The laws against Ahmedis were brought in by ZAB in the 70s in order to appease the religious parties and gain their political support. The man himself was a whisky drinking socialist womaniser before you start masturbating over him.

No one said Muslims have to agree with the ideology and beliefs of the Ahmadiyya community but there's a difference between civilised disagreement and state persecution of a minority.

Clearly you have no idea about Zia ul Haq's era- it's when millions of Afghan refugees were allowed to flood into the country bringing their drugs and gun culture with them. It was he who gave MQM control of Karachi for political purposes. Formed the foundation of Lashkar e Taiba and Sipah e Sahaba amongst countless other sectarian groups.

Better to shush if you don't know what you are talking about

I wish my parents and family weren't so backwards, they cannot be reasoned with and they'll get me married off to a guy who has similar thinking to them I feel so bleak about my life My mum regardless of what you tell her believes the hymen breaks during sex, she says it did for all her sisters and her but j tried to tell her that was probably a tear to the vaginal wall because the guy was being forceful. I don't want to wait until marriage but they've instilled such a fear in me that I can't bring myself to have sex outside marriage now even if I wanted to. My mum denies that my bedsheets will be shown around to prove I am a virgin but that my future husband will see it and he won't trust me and think i wasn't a virgin if he doesn't see blood. For this reason she won't let me use a tampon, she had such a go at me when I asked if I could use one :/
because sex is forbidden in islam/christianity/judasm

    You're excused.

You preach that all guys are ********s. What a terrible sweeping generalisation. I hope you have no sons or they'll be condemned before they've even taken their first breath.

You're issue with tampons. Toxic Shock Syndrome is VERY rare these days and when it does occur it's usually to idiots who don't use them properly. Also, whilst I do not use tampons, they are not anymore unhygienic than sanitary pads (I'm going to assume that's what you use). Shoving a spongey ibject up your vagine to absorb blood vs essentially sitting in your own blood. There are my hygienic things than both.

As for your choices in your sex life. No I do not have an issue. I actually admire that in this day and age you still choose to do what you want to do (if you've been brainwashed into it my respect goes). Not what I would choose but I have no issues.

I hope your head doesn't hurt too much.

Oh I see. Yes I preach what the OP practices too, but not the reasons behind it. Well then you're lucky enough to not meet ********s because it's hard these days to meet guys who genuinely bang you not because he's horny and you're the most convenient hole nearby for him to insert his **** into. I apologise if it's the "all guys are ********s" statement you're uncomfortable with, that I do not agree with. However, I do certainly think there's a considerable number that outweighs those who aren't.

Yes, you've made a valid point about that and once again, I apologise I've neglected specifying the reason why I don't use tampons, and it's not toxic shock syndrome. The issue I have with tampons is it's relative inability to hold heavy flows.

Don't worry, I read your comment in a second (or should I specify again in case you dissect it to its core: about half a minute) relatively simple information, valid points I agree with, I just simply forgot to specify that I agree with what OP practices, not necessarily the reasons behind so. Cheers.

Refering to your first point, I find the majority of girls (and guys) who find it hard to meet "nice guys" are the type who often hang around with the wrong ones.

Everyone has the right to chose consensual sex and to have fun whilst you can. Life is to short for some of us and if you always wait you may never experience one of life's greatest pleasures. Respect people's choices even if you don't agree because it's not your body or place to criticise.

Who marries smelly, horny Mullahs? Well I imagine women without any choice, women who have been brainwashed and have no social skills when it comes to the opposite sex, women who are literally unable to find their own spouse and let others decide for them.

Well why wouldn't you marry a guy with two other wives? A man is allowed to have 4 wives in Islam. The actual question should be- why wouldn't you marry an already married man? Are you allowed to discriminate in such a way against married men in your deen?
One, again, what is a mullah???
Two, women always have a choice who to marry in Islam
Three, yes, I am allowed to discriminate a married man in such a way if I want to.
