    Oh ****. :unimpressed:

Oh, I see. You don't look Year 12, although I don't think there is that much of a difference between how Year 12 and 13 look.
Height + glasses = instant 10 year boost to your age fam

So I should aim to look like a skinhead by October? I gotta order Mein Kampf first.

You've never drank alcohol? I tried vodka and Guinness and it was disgusting, but I guess people drink alcohol to get drunk and not for taste lol.

Yeah, I am 100% set on re-applying to Cambridge since I love the course and it is the best that could be offered for someone wanting to specialise in theoretical physics. However, the problem is that I need to find out what I would be doing (except self-studying part IA) for one whole year, if I missed my offer. Also, I have no idea how it works for me, is it considered a gap year (jneill might answer this) if I don't get accepted in Year 11 and technically in Year 12? If it is considered so, I know that Cambridge hates Maths gap year students and puts insane STEP offers like SS on them, so will I get such offer (assuming I do) after I re-apply? In addition, will I need to be in sixth form or is this not a requirement? I have no idea, to be honest. If the unfortunate does happen, I would need to talk to some people and see what opportunities I would get. I remember one of my good teachers (who I just heard has come to work in Cambridge this September) recommended me to not do any more A-levels, and just consolidate my understanding of what I currently know, also do some competition maths. He also recommended me to apply to some kind of Maths school that King's College London does, idk about what that is.

I don't know m8, I will be so lost if I get rejected on 18th August.

Getting too stressed about results day now!!!
It's an A level school, only teach Maths F maths Physics and economics basically

I tried some beer a week ago, I nearly threw up. I wanted to see how drunk I felt if I consumed half a glass, but I got nowhere near even half-a-thimble-full. I think if I ever try to get drunk, I'll need to put sugar cubes in my drinks... but then people might think I'm spiking someone else's drink... hmm...

How will it benefit me if I've done all of those subjects except Economics?

If you wna go to a maths school. Go to st pauls.
Do BMO if you dont get in, makes u better at maths, tons of stuff you havent done, makes u like 20x better at maths and it will work at ur weaknesses (i believe are NT and geometry?).
You definately won't be lost if you get rejected as you have 2 years left to apply.
I will be however, can't take a gap year, probably will have to go to a **** uni through clearing and I am not talking about imperial or warwick cause they are obviously not ****.

Well, my experience wasn't this bad. I didn't like the taste of Guinness, was able to drink half a pint but then just went and got some Coke since the taste just wasn't nice. I could've drank it but didn't see the point of it, I didn't even want to get drunk. As for the vodka, I drank Smirnoff at a party once and it was about 37%. There wasn't any taste except your throat starts burning after you take a sip, but I didn't drink that much since I didn't wanna get drunk for my parents to see (they allow me but would be awkward to see a Cambridge wannabe drunk lol).

If you don't like alcohol very strong or bitter, asti is a nice wine to start off with as it is quite sweet and relatively low in alcohol. It took me a while to get acclimatised to the taste and sensation of alcohol once I turned 18, but since I've had a few drunken nights it now takes the equivalent of a whole bottle of prosecco and a few vodka and lemonades before I get drunk
