Hi can you do the same for me please will give you rep. Got 40/40 in the coursework and 65/70 in the poetry exam. Thanks
Full marks in the coursework transpires (obviously) to full 50 UMS, plus your 65 in poetry is 115, meaning you need only 65 UMS in this exam - 41/68 for an A*.

Exactly! Can't believe she thought it was real,
If she really wanted them she could just say "Hey, I was wondering if anybody was willing to send me their essays to use as exemplars for students?" - I might even be willing to send mines then

    42/68 (January 2013 grade boundaries)
    37/68 (June 2012 grade boundaries)
    39/68 (January 2012 grade boundaries)
    38/68 (June 2011 grade boundaries)

Each raw mark provided above equates to 66 UMS
Thank you very much, fingers crossed I can get that then! Thank goodness for my 70/70 UMS in poetry in Jan, no idea how I got that.

Good luck to everyone taking theirs on Thursday!

    - I got 68/70 on the poetry exam in Jan 2013

Just out of interest, did anyone run out of time in the end so they weren't able to go through and check their answers? I ran out of time and not sure how well I've done in achieving SPaG marks (8 in total)...
    I didn't even finish OMAM part b... So don't worry :-)

I wrote a lot in the first answer, with some good points I think, but I didn't talk about language or structure at all and I barely talked about language/structure in the second answer. I talked about H&SC, audience/reader response, linked it to other parts of the book though. Can I get A*/A?

EDIT: Oh and I talked about the least important characters (Crooks, Candy, Curley's Wife) in part b of the second section
