I know because me and I think a few others on the student room have received offers, but a friend called up and apparently they only started looking at personal statements in late December and the admission staff have been ill. Also because they're not doing interviews they're apparently going to take their time with decisions and give offers over the next few weeks. Though it is odd seeing as they said they interviewed and I don't think they have as many applicants this year :/
Oh! What University is this for? I applied for BCU in November and I still haven't heard back!

Sorry, I forgot to say its for City University London, but I wouldn't worry too much from what I've heard they're still planning on doing several more interviews right up until late March

Does anyone know anything about how unis feel about deferring places? I have just been offered an amazing job working with autistic children and I didn't expect to get it! If I get any offers I want to try and convince them I will be a better student in a years time when I have worked a little bit more... Any ideas?!

I just don't get it! I would genuinely prefer to just be rejected as at least then I'd know where I stood! Surely by this point they must have look at our applications.

How do you know that's the final date?
I feel like we're stuck in the middle of a failing relationship with them haha!

They've definitely read our applications - they've had mine since October! I haven't heard of anyone who has been rejected from Leeds yet so my guess is that they're waiting to give offers/rejections all at the same time. Just sucks to be us in this situation :/

And I know because someone posted a link to interview formation from Leeds on here, so because I'm nosey I had a look and there was letters for each date and the last date was 11th March!

That or a very one sided relationship, we love them a lot more than they love us!

Yeah, I get you! We just like the last to be picked for the team... Or in this case told that the team is full and ignored. I just don't understand how they could justify not rejecting straight away as it's kinda cruel.

ahhh fair enough! I don't blame you for looking! At least it gives you an end game for this mess haha!

I don't think they can defer nhs places, I'd say check the website or call them.

I was there yesterday and they had both morning and afternion sessions. The afternoon one wasn't on that link so there might be more! They said final interviews were around mid March. Good luck! I hope you hear soon.

I'm not sure about speech therapy but I know a few people who deferred places on nursing degrees and they are nhs funded. Maybe just contact the uni and see what they say

Much more chilled than I expected. I liked the interview format and everyone seemed friendly what about you?

I don't know if Marjon has a bad reputation or if the other unis are just favoured as they are larger!
I met with a speech therapist in my area who had recently graduated from Marjon and she said she loved it there! It kinda depends on your preferences.. but I made it my firm choice earlier because I loved the look of it so much
Exciting! I think I am going to do the same, for me Marjon seemed like such a friendly uni and I like the fact it's quite small and you have everything on campus!

Oh no So disappointed- thought it was my best interview by far. Emailed them to ask why and they said they select candidates with a variety of work experience. I've volunteered at the stroke association for 9 months, have a month in special needs school and have also shadowed a therapist twice i don't understand how it's not enough

Yeah I really enjoyed the format and the people escorting you around were nice too! One of the questions threw me slightly but the other 3 were good!

Called the uni, again, and harassed the women on the phone who said that they were rejecting applications if they weren't good enough which makes me think that we're definitely in the maybe pile.

Moreover, she said they have to have all responses out by February so it'll be over soon haha
