    we dont even take it as an exam or qualification at my school, just turn up to sessions and do crap activities. im on the 'importance of improvising' course, which ive been shoved into.

    its a ******* waste of my time.

    whats that for lol?

    we had an argument with the head of yr12 about general studies and how worthless it is.
    he chased us in a class room and gave a massssssssssive lecture.

    Yeah, i'm doing critical thinking and I can see a point to that (especially as i'm doing subjects that need it) but it's pretty useless to some universities.. but not as useless as general studies which is pretty much not counted by the vast majority.

    a degree on the studies and texts of the classical world:

    latin and greek usually.

    it's a wonderful mix of literature, language, culture, philosophy and history.

    Oxford's classical degree, known as 'Literae Humaniores', which i believe translates literally to human literature, or more naturally to literature of the human culture, is one of the most famous classics courses in the world.
