# Edexcel C2 20th May 2015 *Official Thread* watch

People are saying this is easy? The smartest people I know said it was harder than the Solomon papers which I agree.

I had no clue what to do with the 2sinx+root3cosx

I fluffed up on the arithmetic series questions.

The last question was pretty easy. I got r=2.92 which is £3 which seems reasonable. And for proving it was the minimum I got 59.2 which is positive, hence its the minimum.

Q1-4 were fodder.

The question on that shape was really easy

The cosine one with k in it was okay. I ended up with k/4 which is 3/4 which I got x=0,41.1,180,318.8 for when cosx=-1 and cosx=3/4
That's exactly what I got for the cosine! But apparently my friends said it might be incorrect, so I'm not sure to be honest!

did you get 1/3 and 3/2 for y in the logs question?
Yes I got that!
8. (Original post by Boundless_x)
Me too but I was confused because it said next to the question that y > 3/11 but I didn't get anything under that anyway...
it's because if you put anything less than 3/11, you can't have a negative log it's impossible as the curve never crosses below the x axis

I got £709 to the nearest pound?

I got that but I don't think its right
10. When does Arsey deliver?

Where are the C2 model answers at?
somebody will write them and post them in a few hours, hopefully
12. Having a look at previous posters I think I've got around full marks.

However : for the factorising question I didn't take out the 3 and multiplied that into one if the factors.

+ for the question before the cos x = k whatever question I got 6 different angles.

How many marks will this make me lose + how many solutions were there to the question prior to the cos x = k question?

I spent 20 minutes trying to figure this out, then when I was walking home from the exam it just hit me!
