He'd be seen as a senior member but I doubt that he would become Leader again. He'd also need to prove that he's active.

Maybe if one of the backbenchers wanted to be a Shadow MP, one of them could take up david's Shadow Secretary for Local Government position as David seems to have a lot to do, if you don't mind me saying TopHat?

Good choice on Shadow Foreign Secretary - he's definitely a rising star of the Labour party.

Do you mean, would David be immediately ousted as Leader and Dayne would become leader again instantly?

Not ousted, I just thought it might have been reasonable to let him retake the reigns as he obviously was forced to leave by external factors. It would be interesting if he did come back because Labour moreso than the other parties seem to have more fresh faces and less old-timers.

Less of the old timers. . I'm putting together a list of leaders and deputy leaders and the length of their time in office in those roles. Apart from the Socialist's C1 and UKIP's entire leadership, the rest are relatively new leaders (three elected this year, one elected last year). I used to be the newest leader on the block. It feels weird being the longest serving leader now.

With tenure comes wisdom, may you lead for many moons to come. :beard:
I wonder if any of the new leaders will be about for the next few terms. The chart sounds like a good idea - I hope the Government get an exclusive previewing!

Thanks. I'll send you a copy so that you can check my maths is right and then I'll publish it in the Government forum. I'm just waiting on some parties now though to actually update their wiki.
