Well, i'm not bothered by the prospect of not being able to go to Bristol...Slightly relieved in a weird way...I don't think I would like the place. It's more the fact that the only place I have left now is St Andrews. Its a bit like hanging onto the edge of a cliff.

Although, Extra or gap year I suppose, so its not exactley a hopeless situation.
Good luck Hope St. A's let you in! A third year isn't that bad, I'm currently doing my 3rd year now lol only because in the first i did some crappy BTEC and Electronics then i switched to AS-levels

    I didn't,

I didn't get told about one or anything.

Don't worry, i had exactly the same last year. Rejections came trickling in one by one, waiting for St Andrews for ages, and then they rejected me. I'm sure you won't though as you probably have infinitely better predictions etc. I have the same this year to an extent, rejected everywhere except Newcastle which is alright but i'd much prefer St Andrews. I bet they reject me on my birthday. Last year the rejection came 3 days before my 18th, put a bit of a downer on things. Gap years aren't so bad, just get something sorted asap if you do end up having one, but in the mean time try and keep positive! I know how depressing it can be to seemingly be unwanted from placs. I blame the system!
Ahhh, it would be so much better if everyone just chose one university they wanted to go to...and got immediately accepted. With applying to 5, it seems a bit stupid holding 5 places, and potentially stopping 4 other people getting an offer they really want (that probably makes no sense, but it does in my head) I realise they give out more offers than places, but still.

Thankyou I'm torn about the idea of a gap year, in some ways I think it will be good for me, in others I just want to get going to uni.

I don't like the idea, but thts only because i have no idea how i would survive on my own without my mum giving me money :woo: But on a serious note not only that but just the thought scares me, to many things to worry about!

Because i was told my psychology would be counted as a science but now my lack of an actual science seems to be against me and the source of all my rejections

did chemistry last year -- failed just to piss of my teacher, hated her soo much.
Ah, I see. Do they require you to do a Science? I forget. And even if you don't, shouldn't Psychology count more if you're applying for a Psychology course?!
They might take into account the Chemistry. I dropped Chemistry becuase I thought I'd failed, but it turned out I did better in it than Biology which I kept up I hate my Biology teacher as well, but loved the Chemistry guy!
Where have you been rejected from?

According to their website they expect AAB at A-level, and for you to meet the faculty requirements, so they require a science if you're joining the faculty of science and doing the BSc, but they don't if you're joining the faculty of the arts and doing the MA.

Yeah I got one offers and that was from Sheffield so that's where I'm going. To be honest St. Andrews is a bit far away for me, but it would've been nice to have a choice, y'know? I'm just glad I can finally get a move on with my application and apply for finance and accommodation and whatnot.

English re-jeck-shunnnnnn. I am quite gutted. Have no idea what on earth to do now. Very tempted to have another gap year but not sure i could face another going to uni at 20.
20 really isn't that old, loads of people in my year are well over that.

Sorry to hear about the rejection though.

Will you be coming up there this September?

We went and looked around Mc Intosh hall (Chattan)
It was where I originally put a hint for on my accomodation form, but I've changed my mind on just seeing the OUTSIDE of Sallies
