Congratulations all. Quick question, when did you attend you AC?

And secondly, by insurance supervision, is that as an actuary or isit more broad than that?

Thanks in advance, and congrats again!!
I attended on 26th Jan. No not as an actuary, I expressed interest in supervision during the application and they have placed me in that area

I just emailed them and they this replied in a minute:

Thank you for your email, and your interest in working for The Bank of England.
Your application is still being considered, and we will be in contact by the end of next week.
Thank you for your patience, and if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
    Hey !!

I hope all is well. Did you hear back yet ? I got the same email when I asked but still nothing.

Nope still nothing, I assume we are waiting for a rejection now given that offers seemed to go out on Friday and Monday. Nevertheless best of luck to all who are still waiting.

I don't think this is necessarily the case: at least those who posted here said that their offers were for supervisory roles only. That leaves generalists/economists still, hopefully?

I would've thought the same, probably department by department.

    hi,
congratulations on your offer. Just out of curiosity, are you an EU/British citizen by any chance? I just wanted to know what are the odds of receiving an offer if one belongs to a non EU country.

    Hi everyone,

BoE has recently reopened their graduate application and I've managed to submit it and go to the video interview stage.

In the email they said I've applied for the "Graduate & IT Graduate" scheme, but I recalled choosing the specialist scheme in actuarial while completing my application form. Can anyone please clarify if they mean 2 different schemes or should I only prepare my interview for the IT Graduate scheme/ Actuarial Scheme?

I understand this is a "game" but any kind advice/opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

hey there, I've just received an email today that they are still reviewing the video interviews. I hope i did alright. I didnt manage to finish one of my sentence though.

Also, I did call them few days before my interview regarding my application info (before the monday deadline). They sounded like they have already got a set of people in mind to choose for the grad scheme. I hope they will get back to us latest by tomorrow since it is also the 2nd week after the application deadline as mentioned on their website.

All the best to both of us =)
