PetrosAC As you commented, this is the full length UKIP manifesto before being cut down to meet the word limit, the edited second half it to come.
Whilst there is very little I agree with, kudos for actually have policies. Don't know when you reduced immigration though. You also didn't technically author the EU Referendum bill.

The infrastructure plans aren't really a manifesto though, and were submitted previously. I will be interested to find out the speaker's decision though.
    (Original post by Rakas21)
It's been spoilered and was released in Ad Hoc, hence it's more a reference than an extended manifesto.
I don't mind so to speak, as long as it's legal. I've always been a bit "Moggian" in my respect for the constitution/rules.

Having looked back at the Autumn 2014 election when UKIP did it, it seems the then speaker didn't mind it. So all is well. (FYI RayApparently)

And all that being said, I happen to think that infrastructure plan is really very good.

EDIT: Although, there's really no point in a word limit if UKIP are just going to post the full thing as Nigel just did.

'A manifesto is a published verbal declaration of the intentions, motives, or views of the issuer, be it an individual, group, political party or government.'
The basic standard requires a party banner and significant detail.
It's also an established parliamentary convention to be creative, i.e. use colour and images.

Also, when it says a 'word limit', it means write 90-100 words...
    Not 10.

I request that you put a spoiler over it as we did with the infrastructure stuff, it's a bit outside the spirit of the rules to have such a thing so prominent.

Was Nigel allowed to release the extended manifesto, as it seems to be very much against the rules. My recommended punishment for that action would be to not allow UKIP to take their seats in the house and to allocate them to the Conservative Party.

I disagree that these requirements exist

It's also an established parliamentary convention to be creative, i.e. use colour and images.
Equally there is ample precedent for manifestos without either of these trivialities

Also, when it says a 'word limit', it means write 90-100 words...
    Not 10.
We wrote more than 10 and there is no minimum word count requirement.

    Have a beer and chill.

No - you do realise that at one time, the very very top end was 98% taxed?
We're not intending to do that but it's just a fun fact
Also with EU pressure we can force corporations to pay their taxes and clamp down on this Double Irish arrangement/Dutch sandwich/Isle of Wight scamming Jammy Duel
So you intend to try to tackle with unknown success tax avoidance entirely on the corporate side?

(Original post by a noble chance)
Underpromising and overdelivering is better than the entire party being photographed with signed manifesto commitments not to raise tuition fees before trebling them. The Liberal manifesto certainly makes the widest range of promises. Your error is in assuming that this is necessarily something to be proud of.
hear, hear. The Liberals last term promised a million thigns and provided very few

Glad to see that the image used at the end was of an Airbus aircraft, one that heavily supports British industry, with the wings made in Wales and the Engines made in England by arguably the best jet engine manufacturer in the world and most certainly the most recognised.

There's never been a real requirement for a personalisation of manifestos in by-elections.
We have core socialist values which appeal to all left wingers.
Apart from wishy-washy centre-left social democrats because "**** those hippies"

I will put the extended manifesto in a spoiler box if asked to by the Speaker, but the Guidance Document does not state extended manifestos are not allowed to be posted on a page late in the thread when TSR members voting have stopped reading the thread.

But then it's an ‘established parliamentary convention’ to promote individuals rather than parties in by-elections. I'm just saying don't call the kettle black…

God no! Why would I show anyone my policies?

That ladies and gentleman is exactly what the other parties have done. Here, let's evaluate the other parties pledges:

Greens: 15. Nothing on the Economy, Foreign Affairs or Defence
National Liberals: Are you actually kidding me?
Conservatives: 5. 5 measly policies. You guys really do like looking to the past huh?
Labour 7: Hardly better than the Tories. Reference Tory Tax Credit cuts even though they aren't canon. What happened to us not using real life parties to score political points?
UKIP: 19. Again, Nothing on the Economy, Education, Health. Gone for Quantity over Quality.
Socialists: 10. Missed out health and pretty much copied half of your last manifesto.

Liberals: 17. A large amount but a mixed bag of different policies telling you, the voter, what you can expect in each policy area.

What do the other leaders have to say for themselves?
I refer you to my post on the first page and you can see for yourself… We aren't going to spam our electorate with countless claims and then leaving most of them unfulfilled.

So you intend to try to tackle with unknown success tax avoidance entirely on the corporate side?
As I've said before it's not my area of expertise - the little I know is that of corporations. Ask TDA or Republic.
Unless you're intent on harassing me of course

    most certainly the most recognised.
Welll - in terms of commercial jets the Concorde and Boeing 747 are more likely to be the most well-recognised. In terms of fighter jets the English Harrier jet and F16/22 would be the most recognised.

There was a motion to accept refugees, a bill to change the definition of nationality to allow more people to qualify, and goal music was banned at football matches.
